Design Process

Initial Meeting
In our initial meeting, we aim to gain a deeper sense of your vision, values, and hopes for your land. We will walk the property with you and discuss options.

Site survey
We conduct a site survey either in-house or with a professional landscape surveyor, depending on the needs of the project. This essential stage builds our base map of existing structures, utilities, plants, soil type, slope, water and solar movement, etc.

Image board
We assemble an image board presentation for you of the plants and materials for built elements such as hardscaping, lighting, or water features we propose to use in your design. You then review and give feedback so we can refine the selection.

Concept Plan
We draft a map of a design proposal, implementing your vision and values specifically adapted to your site parameters.

Review & Revision
After you've reviewed the proposed design concept and given feedback, we make final edits. Once the design is approved, we schedule your installation and material sourcing begins.

Install
We work closely with the installation team to ensure the highest quality work. We are onsite for much of the process, supervising and assisting with layout and refinements.
“Designing gardens is like choreographing a very slow, beautiful dance. The emergence of each plant in the spring, the blooming of every wave of flowers, the ripening of the fruits are each movements of the dancers. They all have their own rhythm, in concert with earth, sun, and rain.”
